Eduardo Paralizabal, Mexican Wedding Photographer

Hi again, You can call me Ed!

My journey into wedding photography began when I moved to the coast and became the lead photographer at a local agency. Over three years, I learned the ins and outs of destination weddings and how to capture the most meaningful moments as they naturally unfold. That experience helped me shape my own vision and photographic voice, one deeply rooted in my background in documentary filmmaking and fashion photography. The result is a style that’s both honest and refined.

What I love most about this work is the human connection. I enjoy learning each couple’s story and building a relationship based on trust and communication: two things I value deeply. I always aim to be present for my couples, both during the planning process and on the wedding day. Whether it’s answering questions, making suggestions, or simply being a calming presence, I’m here to help in any way I can.

On the big day, I stay close but never intrusive, gently guiding through the timeline while allowing real emotions to shine. That’s when the magic happens: genuine laughter, real tears, unfiltered moments.

What drives my work is a deep curiosity about love in all its forms. Romantic, familial, friendly. I hope that when my couples receive their photos, they feel something real. I hope they laugh at moments they had forgotten, and maybe even cry at moments they didn’t get to fully experience in the moment.

Before each wedding, I like to prepare by studying the couple’s itinerary and the names of their wedding party and close family. I believe in making people feel seen, and that starts with calling them by name.

If I had to describe my photography style in three words, I’d say it’s: natural, romantic, and detail-oriented. As a person, I’m joyful, passionate, and creative.

My passion for travel and discovering new places has shaped the curious eye I bring to every wedding I document. I’ve been lucky to work in breathtaking destinations and meet incredible people along the way. Some couples become friends to the point where we can reunite for dinner and caught up like old mates. That’s the kind of connection I aim for.

Outside of work, I’m a calm and joyful person who loves sunsets, slow walks, and meaningful conversations. I enjoy biking, dancing, and spending time in nature. I also love watching movies, especially those with strong visual language. I admire Wes Anderson for his distinctive storytelling style, and Emmanuel “Chivo” Lubezki for his use of natural light and wide, cinematic frames.

When I travel I love experimenting on different photographic mediums such as 35mm and instant film because of their rawness and emotional texture. Film has a way of grounding us in the present. It can’t be repeated or overly polished. It’s honest.

My favorite city is Amsterdam. I fell in love with its quiet charm, its canals, the architecture, and the golden light at sunset near the Central Station pier. I’m drawn to small cities that offer peace, inspiration, and open skies.
